“ Came here on Saturday evening as a party of 4 (2 adults and 2 children). Really busy on arrival which is always a good sign!! We were seated in a booth and ordered our drinks at the bar. Football was on the screens which pleased my husband and eldest daughter! We decided what we were having for food and ordered at the hatch. Poppadoms bought out swiftly and they were fresh. Mains followed not long after and all food was really good. We had: Kids Nuggets and chips. 2 x chicken tikka wraps. 2 x chips. Chicken curry. Mushroom fried rice. Great value for money. Overall a nice bar and grill and I would recommend a visit! ”
“ Credit where credit is due, I rarely write reviews but the food at the Hen and Chickens knocks its competitors out of the park. We’ve been to every curry house in the area, and one of our favourites is award winning restaurant in Stourbridge. The food here is on par and very reasonably priced considering. If you’re in the West Bromwich area, it’s worth a visit for taste! ”

“ Went here for a 70th birthday meal and did not know what to expect. And we were pleasantly surprised, food was excellent and portion sizes were massive. The large mixed grill was enough for 2 or 3 people. Chicken jalfrazi was nice and hot with plenty of onions and peppers. Tubs and bags supplied to take left overs home for lunch tomorrow. Highly recommend this place. ”
“ The pub is nicely done out with a spacious restaurant area, which is where I spent my time, but I did wander into the pub area for a few seconds and it was fairly tidy in there too. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Prices are quite reasonable. Beer selection is pretty basic, but that's usually the case for the majority of these kinds of places. The food, in my humble opinion, isn't top tier in comparison to other similar places, but still good enough to make the place a solid dining option. Nice touch giving out complimentary poppadoms while you wait on your order, and fairly good variety on the special mixed grill. There are a couple of free car parks and a few street parking options nearby, which was quite convenient. ”
“ Everything about this place is 5 star worthy. Food is very tasty and always served hot. The staff are very friendly and will accommodate your requests including reservations, finding a table when very busy or for example swapping the lamb option for more chicken in the mixed grill. The layout upstairs is amazing with large tables and booths and it is always busy with a good atmosphere. We have come here for quick social visits, family meals and even family birthdays for which they have a room downstairs which can be booked for such occasions. ”
